Get ready to be amazed, or maybe not

December!

By Vanessa Chin · November 30, 2009 · 0 Comments · 9 Views

I know, it's been ages since i last posted. And that is true, very true, too true anyway.

Today is December 1st, which means, HAPPY SWEET 16TH TO MY SISTER! (Hot pink ^^)

Time to update you on my life :) Some slight renovation works going in my house. Painting the walls, changing the curtains, sofa, coffee table, etc. I guess it's a good thing since it's been really long since we did any of those things mentioned above. Going on to school related stuff, i got into Express 3! 3/9 next year is gonna be my baby :D Hehe. Gonna take art consulatations after school too with Nasuha, the only problem is i keep telling my mum to write the letter, but she keeps forgetting, so i have no idea if they'll still accept it... i hope they do :( Next year is gonna be so cool, we'll be seniors! :) And we'll probably be stressed crazy with studying and such. But i'll really miss all my 2/8 peers, especially Charmaine, Sylvia, Syahirah and etc :(

The holidays have been more fun than anticipated :) Every week has been busy, from dance club practices to Coral Open House (which was crazy, i'll write about it later), outings, dance classes, etc. I'm going to Australia too ^w^ Around the middle of December. I really wanted to go to Japan, but we couldn't book tickets since all the flights were full. I've also been really into korean songs altely, probably influence from all the girls in my class, lol. Buti  won't go crazed fan-mode, i'll just stick to liking the songs and so on. Spending tons of money on fan items isn't my thing :)

So Coral Open House. I was supposed to be helping out the maths department, but ended out helping dance club, not that i minded. Handling primary 6 kids isn't fun at all, i swear. They're either like wild monkeys or shy mouses. We had to perform the same dance about 8 times a day, which is a big killer on the feet. We also had to teach them dance steps, which most were not co-operative on. There was one group where they kept laughing at everything thing we said, and another group where this group girls kept going "OH MY GODDDD" at everything. And the boys kept doing Micheal Jackson moves. Well, anyway, we got that done and over with. I hope next year's batch of Sec 1s are cool ^^

I'll leave it at here today, you might never know when will be the next time i post. Maybe next month or 3 months later or tomorrow :D

Having the time of my life

By Vanessa Chin · October 18, 2009 · 0 Comments · 4 Views

These past few days have just been the absolute best! No kidding. First it was the Marina Barrage trip, then Clarke Quay and yesterday Mum brought us (sis and i) to Sentosa to eat dinner at this really expensive place called il lido. The food was delicious, expensive, but delicious. And the desert was just mind-blowing. My mouth is watering just thinking about it :3

Today i'm going on a shopping trip with Mum, cause' sis has to stay home and study for 'her 'O' levels. It's gonna be so awesome, and plus! The thought of the exams being over makes it all the more wonderful. Even though, i somehow don't feel they're over yet. Maybe it's cause i didn't study very hard? If that's the case... then, darn.

Something else that makes me really really really happy is that i'm gonna watch Victor/Victoria at the Esplanade :) yipee! The last musical i watched was CATS and i fell in love with it, hehe. I'm also gonna watch a peformance by LASELLE College of the Art called Tuesday's Child and Other Dances. Eagerly awaiting that as well!

Ahh.. this is the best ^w^

Sunburn isn't so bad anymore, phew.

Clarke Quay

chirp, chirp?

Yesterday was super fun! (I'm still sunburnt though..) We had to go to Liang Court cause you know my mum had this lucky draw thing then she got a chance to win a new car, so we had to go there, blah blah. Anyway, didn't win the car, but she won $300 ^w^ not bad, not bad.

After that, we went to Clarke Quay, which is kinda like a hot nightspot in Singapore, and now i know why. It's so cool!! There were all kinds of awesome restaurants. There was this one place called The Clinic, which had this hospital theme. It was so cute! The waitresses and waiters were dressed as doctors and nurses and the drinks were served in those things, umm.. they used in hospitals. The thing that goes, drip..drip.. and there's also one that comes in a syringe. Cool, right?

We ate at the Satay Club, which is supposed to be pretty famous. The food there was real nice, yum! We walked around a bit, i can't wait to go back to Clarke Quay. There was also a Hooters Singapore there, which is a place where the waitresses (only waitresses) have to wear really tights shirt and short shorts. My mum says that the waitresses in overseas Hooters were more sexy than the Singaporean ones, lol.

We bought Turkish ice-cream, which was really cool, cause the guy actually plays around with you before handing you the ice-cream. He would like, pretend to drop it and trick you and all that. We also saw this one woman, she was so pretty! Like a supermodel. She was really tall and slim and wow, so jelous, haha. She had two guy friends with her too and they were good-looking too! (All ang moh, btw)

We also bought like 3 pairs of shoes, wow. And they all costed about $50++ altogether. I really really loved this one sandal, but my mum bought it in my sister's size which is one size bigger than mine :( Of course, my mum is still getting me my flats :) hehe

We reached home at about 11+ wasn't as tired as i expected. Probably because i woke up at 12pm, haha.

Sunburn~ Go away~ >_<

There are tons more of photos, but i'm too lazy to upload them. Anyway, they're all on facebook :D

Yesterday was uber fun. I was having some doubts at first since a huge portion of the people going were from 2/2, only me and Safiya were from other classes. It was much more fun than expected and hotter too. Now i'm sunburnt on the back of my shoulders, sobs. Stings real bad and i'm way tanner. Darn, should have worn sunblock. Just so you know, Samuel also went with us, even if he isn't in most of the photos. I really like the jumpshot photo with Saf and Rachel :D The lighting was really good.

Most of the day was spent taking photos, haha. We did fly a kite, which was awesome. First time flying a kite and it was a cute kite to boot, it was a squid, Saifya thought it was an octopus, haha. We had our little picnic, mostly made up of snacks like cookies and chips. Rachel also played her guitar, which sounded lovely as always :) She's so awesome, yeah? Haha. Marina Barrage is such a cool place, beautiful view, can't wait to go back there.

Other end-of-exams plans include a sleepover at Saf's, Halloween party at Saf's, Nasuha's birthday party (24 oct!), outing with Charmine and Syahirah and hopefully lots more ^w^

Anyway, aside from celebrating the end of exams, also comes the mind-boggling choice of what class to go next year. I'm in a big debate of whether to go to the Art class or Express 3. I'm kinda letting go of the option of going to the A maths class since i screwed up badly on Physics. Art class seems more appealing since i don't have to take Physics next year, lol. Either way, i'll still have to make a choice in the end.

End of exams

Yes! Exams are finally OVERRRR~! :) One week passed by surprisingly fast.

Anyway, i so total screwed up the science paper. It's a comfirm fail for physics, oh well. And i didn't get to finish my art again this term. It's such an enjoyable thought, the end of exams.

I've got no time to write a long since i'll be leaving the house in a couple of moment. I'm going to Marina Barrage, reminds me og when the dance club performed for the International water festival there, hehe. It was so fun, and uber cool. I hope it doesn't rain though, cause it looks like it will. Drats.

See ya' next time. Which won't be very long, cause i shall be posting about my Marina Barrage trip.

Hello OnSugar!

Goodbye Blogger, Hello OnSugar!

I have officially moved away from blogger. Why? Probably beacuse blogger is kind of, you know. Anyway, still trying to work out a kinks here and there. Still trying to figure out how this works. Darn..

So to continue on, what week is it? EXAM WEEK! (not meant to be said in a rejoicing mood) Now that i think about it, what am i doing starting a new online diary in the middle of exams? And on the day before the worst paper ever! Science!

I guess it'll take a miracle for me to do well in science. But there's Art as well! (Now you can rejoice) But i haven't started planning, darn that too. Yes, i'm lazy, very lazy. I just can't wait for Friday, the last paper! Oh thank heavens :) Endure Vanessa! The papers so far are relatively okay. Literature was a total hand killer, it's amazing how much one can write in 1 and a 1/2 hours and end up with a totally dead hand by the end of that time. I was kinda freaking out since i took so long on the first few questions. I took half and hour for question 1 and 2. Geez...

So there's a Friday dilemma. Not gonna write it out, but i hope it doesn't ruin my wonderful Friday.

I'm dying to get new shoes, but i just can't seem to find a good pair. Flats, that's what i'm probably gonna get. I just realized it's really hard to find comfortable shoes too. Sometimes, even Converse isn't that comfortable, even though i'm kinda craving for a pair of yellow converse, but my sister already has so many! (Not yellow, i mean) The best would have to be the $5 school shoes. They will forever rule. The ones below are so cute ^w^

Coach Marie Patchwork...

I also want a new bag. I shop a lot, no kidding. Not sure what type of bag i wanna buy. Maybe a small sling of backpack. Maybe a cloth handbag, kinda like the one that Sylvia has, Wang Xue has one similar too.

I can't believe school is ending in a few weeks! And next year, we'll be upper secondary students! Kinda cool, hehe. Well, before that, gotta worry about my holidays. I might be going to Australia, my sister says she HAS to go somewhere after her 'O's. I'm not much of a vacation kind of person. Mainly because i don't like flying, i just don't like sitting still for so long.

Anyway, why aren't i studying? You tempted me to post :(

Behind the mask

My name is Vanessa Chin. Born on 31st May 1995, that was 14 years ago, by the way. My school? Well, it's Coral Secondary, if you're wondering where that is, it's on a tiny island called Singapore. Guess what's my CCA. It's Dance Club, and yes, i love it to bits.

There a lots of things are love in my life, which definitely overrule the number of things i dislike. I love my friends and family most of all, without them, life would be absolutely boring. They are special beings which make my life meaningful.
